From Old School Germany... to America?!

It felt like we took a trip around the globe this week!

Last Monday we had a zone P-day and went to Würzburg. We got to see a cool German castle, palace, and church! So that was our German fix.

Then on to China... We got to teach the mom of one of our members. One catch, the mom doesn't speak a word of English or German!! So we had the daughter there translating everything into Chinese for us. That was such a neat experience!

Next a little field trip to America!! Some of the missionaries on one of the military bases here asked us to come up and help them with their booth at a little Community Showcase Fair on base. Being surrounded by English and Americans already made it feel like America, but then Bishop Black took us grocery shopping! Yup, now we've got Mac n' Cheese, Reeces Puffs cereal, Goldfish, and plenty more American goodies. Sister Madsen was like a little kid on Christmas morning!

And then back to Germany... we got to take a fun road trip with the Lindgrens (the senior missionary couple) up to Offenbach for a conference with half of the missionaries in our mission. It rocked! It was super fun to see tons of other missionaries and also the speaker, Elder Patrick Kearon (member of the First Quorum of the Seventy and first counselor in the Europe Area Presidency.) He talked a lot about how we can make the choice to be happy, and to look at the things life throws at us as opportunities instead of trials. And also about really recommitting to our work. I think that is super useful for whatever stage of life we are in. Whether that means recommitting to our studies in school, or to missionary work, to our job, or whatever. The work truly goes easier when you put your whole heart into it!

Another fun thing of the week, I was asked to give a talk in church yesterday! That was interesting haha. That's about all for the week, the weeks sure fly by! I hope y'all are enjoying life :)

Remember to enjoy every moment! Because whether we are wishing for it to pass or living it to the fullest it will pass at the same rate. So remember Learn from the Past. Dream for the Future. BUT Live Here and Now!!

"let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." (James 1:4)

Love,

Sister Wahlquist
