Well this week started out with a good ole life lesson! On Monday night I realized that I had left my SD card(with 5 months of pictures) at the internet laden. *face palm* Yup, at first it kinda sucked. But then I took a step back and thought about it. What really mattered to me? The SD card... it is just a thing, I can buy another one of those. The pictures... there are a lot of pictures of P-days and companion and really all the times from my mission. But those aren't the important things, losing the card and the pictures didn't mean I lose the relationships that we built or the memories that were made, those are the things that matter the most. We should appreciate each and every moment we have, the good AND the bad. That is what is important.
(We went back the next day and he had the card right there for me)
This week in Review: Get up, Work hard hard hard all day, See many miracles, Sleep like a baby, Repeat.
Highlights: One night as we were walking home, we saw two guys carrying a sofa down the street and a girl following them loaded up with pillows. Naturally we offered to help. We ended up carrying it a half a mile! But got to know some pretty cool people in the process, they are from South America and just moved here for school (they are studying to be doctors).
We had another street display this week. The most successful one so far! One man was trying to talk to us but only spoke Spanish, my oh my did I wish I spoke Spanish! But kindness transcends language and he was super nice and bought us some candied almonds. Later the Elders came and one of them knew a little bit of Spanish and was able to speak with him.
That's all for me folks! Gotta get back out to livin' the dream.
I wish you all a wonderful week, remember, some things just aren't important.
Love,
Sister Wahlquist
