Well folks, today marks two years since my baptism. What better way to spend it than a P-day on a mission of my own!
We had a great action packed week.
Monday- We went to Rothenburg for P-day. Basically it's your stereotypical German-looking town. AKA GORGEOUS!!
Tuesday- Service at the Tafel. It's like this food kitchen place. Stores takes the stuff there that is too old to sell, but still good to eat. And we got to teach Eleyna, she is from Russia and after we taught her, she taught us a little Russian! Super fun, and later in the week we got to use it with an old Russian man that we met on the Bahn(Subway). I love the diversity here, everyone is from somewhere else!
Wednesday- I made some of the most delicious banana bread for district meeting (a meeting with the missionaries that are serving in the local area). Man how I love having a kitchen again! And then we had Institute (a dinner/and then gospel class for the young adults in the area), we played a little ping pong before, and I felt so much like I was back at Institute in Maryland!
Thursday- I went on my first split! (That is when you swap companions and go to a different area for 24 hours to learn from a new person and see a different area and how they do things.) I went with Sister Diethelm to Feucht! We did some garden work for an elderly member and then had Sport Abend! (Volleyball/Soccer) Oh, and I got to practice my biking in a skirt skills.
Saturday- We had a Book of Mormon street display! That was super fun, hower our tent did collapse on us once....
Lessons of the Week!
No matter how long you wait, all you have is today! So get to it :) (I may have already shared this one.... but hey it's true, so why not share it again!)
Lesson Two- When you come up to something that seems too big or overwhelming etc, just take it one step at a time. If you don't know where to start, just start. You'll get it figured out.
That's all the time I've got for this week! I hope y'all are doing well. Remember: "Smile. Listen. Love."
Love!
